now i am finally home and able to get some work done. i had benny g, bob sitchel, and photographer jason lee come out to the lake the other day to shoot. it was a really fun evening shoot. my wake was massive and i believe everyone had one of their best sets in a long time. benny g did the biggest toeside ole 720 into the flats i had ever seen, which struck jealousy within my heart since i have always wanted to rip one of those into the flats. then bob rode and absolutely killed it. i havent really watched that kid free ride and it was steezy and really big which you dont see much of from younger kids these days. it was awesome to watch bob ride. ive got a feeling you all will begin to hear more about this young up and coming steez house. then i got out there and had probably one of the best sets i have had in a really long time. i was cutting at just about everything as hard as i could and i felt like how i felt before i blew out my last knee. (knock on wood) so it looks and feels like im back to my old self again, or very very close to it. hopefully you all will see some of those photos showing up in a mag shortly.

last weekend was nationals, it was held in the ridiculously hot city of oklahoma city. it was a consistent 105 out just about every day. i rode pretty decent, not as awesome as i would have liked, but i basically stood up 2 passes with the exception of 1 fall at the end of my second pass. i felt i rode pretty well and figured i had beaten some of the other guys in my heat especially when one of the riders fell 3 times. however i was put in last place in my heat which didnt allow me to advance into the next round. me and a lot of other people smelt BS……. but whatever, thats how wakeboard contests go i guess. Â
anyhow like i said it was extremely hot but all around it was a good time. the whole oakley crew was there and we got to teach the fashion editors of maxim magazine and teen magazine how to wakeboard as well as get some shredding in for ourselves when the event was done on sunday. we had our oakley mastercraft there and we loaded her down and rode till dark. it was a good time.
here are some photos of the weekend.
breakfast with benny g, jeff house, and shawn watsons retarded twin brother. hahahaha just kidding, thats just how watson eats.

sort of a far away picture but here is the site from the bridge.

i believe this was jimmy larich doing a switch heel 9 off the kicker.

the heat finally got to my team manager matty swanson from oakley. his nose started bleeding uncontrollably and he went down for the count inside the o-lab. poor guy.

so after the tour stop in knoxville i headed to a clinic that stokemeter.com set up. it was a good time and i got to ride on the river that i rode on during the filming for push process. it was pretty cool to be back there after 2 years, it doesnt feel like it was that long ago…… time flies.
if you watch my section in push process i do a switch melon poke frontside 540 in front of this factory that is on the delaware river where the clinic was.

emma claiming laps.

sunset on a glassy, famous river. the delaware.

then i headed up to my friends house in north carolina. them military boys know how to throw a great 4th of july party! hahahaha
this is my buddy skips house….. just a normal nice house……. with a band…… that he hired……. no big deal.

skip may or may have not had a couple drinks. hahahaha he was definitely a crowd favorite.

there was 54 boats that i could count with my own eyes on this lake for the fireworks display. this isnt a massive lake either. it was rad to see so many patriots out and celebrating a great day. jim and i decided to force our taste of american music upon the masses with his massive system that came with his brand new malibu. a combination of country and neil diamond hahahaha.

then emma and i headed to the airport to roll out to new hampshire for 2 more days of clinics.

flying out of my connection city, washington dc.

lake winnipesaukee.

emma and i chilling…….. literally.

now emma and i are in oklahoma city for nationals.
